I'm a post-modern dance choreographer/improvisor looking for a dancer accomplished in house/freestyle to participate in several performances I have lined up. I am interested in finding someone who is as interested as I am in contrasting, learning and blending various dance styles. I caught a couple of your videos on youtube and was impressed by the energy and originality.
I am currently reworking and expanding choreography in collaboration with the pop artist Robert Indiana (of LOVE and HOPE fame.) The dance titled 'American Deamers' explores themes of hope, struggle and reconciliation in relationship to american identities. It was originally created during my involvement in Obama's presidential election campaign. The overall aesthetic is pop art/performance art, almost like comic book super heros.
